CREDITAID deals with confidential, personal and financial information of customers. The company offers services to its clients and deals with financial and personal information of these clients.

CREDITAID is sensitive to the necessity of maintaining the confidentiality of the personal and corporate information it does receive. The company recognizes both the inherent right to privacy of every individual and its obligation to preserve the confidentiality of personal information kept in files. The company is also aware of the concerns about individual privacy and perceived possible abuses of personal information kept in automated data banks and other forms.

CREDITAID has therefore established Privacy Policies to ensure the protection, to the best of the company’s ability, of all personal and corporate information in its possession, in whatever form it is kept, whether it be an automated data bank, manual (or paper) file, microfiche or any other form.

The information contained in the data received by CREDITAID is handled and protected, taking cognizance of the following principles:Accountability

Accountability: The information received by CREDITAID is the property of the client and is used only for the purposes intended by the client when entering into an agreement with CREDITAID. The information obtained is used for no other purpose, without receiving the express permission to do so from the client.Identifying Purposes: The purposes for which personal information is collected shall be identified by CREDITAID at or before the time the information is collected.Consent: The information collected is only that personal, financial and financial-related information of individuals and clients that

Accuracy: Personal information shall be as accurate, complete, and up-to-date as is necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used.

Safeguards: Security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information shall protect personal information. CREDITAID will employ the same standard of care as it takes to safeguard its own confidential information of similar nature. CREDITAID requires all of its employees to comply with the foregoing standards of confidentiality. All personal data provided by clients is kept secure from access by unauthorized personnel at all times. Access to and use of personal information is limited to those CREDITAID employees who require it to fulfill CREDITAID's obligations to its clients.

Openness: CREDITAID shall make readily available specific, understandable information about its policies and practices relating to the management of personal information.

Access: Upon request, an individual shall be informed of the existence, use, and disclosure of their personal information, and shall be given access to that information. An individual is entitled to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and have it amended as appropriate.

Compliance: An individual shall be able to question compliance with the above principles to CREDITAID’s Privacy Officer. CREDITAID shall put policies and procedures in place to respond to an individual’s questions and concerns.

Nothing in these policies will prevent CREDITAID from using hired facilities to aid in completing its obligations. Lenders and collectors from banks, trust companies, credit unions, finance companies, and collection agencies make referrals to Creditaid in full confidence that their clients will be treated in a fair, courteous and friendly manner, and that all creditors will be treated equally.
